These community profiles have been created by Local Area Networks (LANs). A LAN is a group of human service providers working within defined geographical boundaries. The LAN’s within our Region began between 2004 and 2007. Some are still meeting regularly and some are not. As time permits, all of the community profiles are updated with the most recent data available.

Community Profiles are divided into 3 categories: Alberta Capital Region Social Atlas, Edmonton Demographic Communities, and Communities of Interest.

In each section, there are maps that are organized into the following categories:

  • Demographic: such as age population, dwelling characteristics, ethnicity, family status, etc. and
  • Resources: located within the community, both with and without complementary demographic data.
